Mohamed Kamal,
An artistic designer and design educator specializing in experiential, exhibition, and spatial design.
Since graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1996, my work has evolved across professional practice and academia. In 1997, I co-founded Rama Design, which grew over two decades into a multidisciplinary studio delivering interior, exhibition, furniture, graphic, and artistic spatial projects.
Alongside practice, I built an academic career focused on spatial thinking, scenography, execution design, and digital tools, earning both a Master’s degree and a PhD while teaching at multiple universities.
In 2006, I co-founded Atelier Reham Elshahawy – Trompe l’Oeil, expanding my work into artistic surface treatments and large-scale artworks.
Today, I work as a design consultant with multiple architecture and design studios, leading projects and competitions across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. In 2022, I founded Yousrain Project Management, extending my work into strategic coordination and delivery of complex design-led projects — creating spaces that communicate ideas, support brands, and create lasting experiences.
